In Brazil, Francisco was a teenager with an attitude. When a local pastor visited his home and offered him the Book of Hope, Francisco rejected it. He had no interest in God. The pastor left the Book of Hope with Francisco’s mother, Crispina.
When the pastor returned to check on the family, she discovered that while Francisco had not touched the Book of Hope, his mother Crispina had already read halfway through it! She prayed with the pastor to accept faith in Christ.
After many visits from the pastor and other church leaders, Francisco’s heart was touched by what he heard being read aloud from the Book of Hope. After all his resistance to the Gospel, he finally surrendered, went to church with his mother and confessed Christ as Savior!
